IN BRIEF

Choose the correct provider in Email service, enter its required configuration, and review the sender and event settings before saving. Verify delivery with a controlled test.

Before you begin

You need access to Email service and the correct provider credentials. Keep secrets out of screenshots, tickets, and public documentation.

Step by step

  1. Open Email service in the active workspace.
  2. Choose the provider that matches your service. The interface lists SMTP/IMAP, Resend, AWS SES, Brevo, Mailgun, Mandrill, and a Zendesk ticket-sync adapter. These adapters have different requirements.
  3. Enter the provider-specific settings. Changing the provider resets the advanced JSON to that adapter’s defaults, so review it before saving.
  4. Set the From name and a From email address authorized by your provider. Add a Reply-To address if replies should go elsewhere. A sender alias is not the same as a mailbox login.
  5. For SMTP/IMAP, use the available connection test when you are ready to contact your server. A blank password field keeps the stored secret; do not replace it unnecessarily.
  6. Review the enabled email events, then select Save configuration. Test with an address you control before enabling production workflows.

What to check

The saved provider and sender match your intended delivery service. A successful configuration save alone does not prove inbox delivery.

Need to troubleshoot?

Messages do not arrive

Check the provider connection, verified sender, recipient address, enabled event, and spam folder. Ask the workspace administrator to inspect delivery failures.

Inbound replies do not appear

For SMTP/IMAP, check the mailbox settings. Refresh performs a manual inbound pull; automatic polling depends on the server configuration.
